135 packets of sanitary pads were packaged. Each package contained 3 packets of pads and a bar of soap. The packages were distributed to Phumalong a small village situated in Irene. This village houses 50 women and young girls in total. Only 46 consented to receive packages. The village is situated on a farm and is next to Irene Middle School. Most of the older women work in the surrounding areas whilst some of the younger ones are at the Irene Middle School or unemployed. Each household houses about 5-7 individuals - with one or no breadwinner in the household making it difficult to run day to day activities.
